when in doubt, folks worried about the opinions of others on a public forum should remind themselves of that Tyler, The Creator "how the fuck is cyberbullying real... just walk away from the screen/close your eyes" tweet. people have gone to this franchise for different things for decades now, and it's okay if someone didn't like something you did or expected more out of it. it's not that serious or a personal attack if someone did or didn't have the same experience, and it's not a bad idea to learn why someone might think otherwise.

We went and saw ourselves a star war.

It was okay. I would probably never see it again, and I find myself agreeing with the consensus that this did not need to be a movie.

It felt like a two part season premiere. Literally the only emotional beat in the entire film was Grogu saving Mando, and almost nobody had enough lines to have any opportunity to act, save Scorsese who at least was entertaining.

The action was good, and weirdly made me think of Daredevil at times, so there was that. Rotta was interesting to watch fight, but god, Jeremy Allen White sounded completely bored from word one. The scenes of him with Grogu were cute though.

To be completely honest, I felt myself drifting off midway through the film, and that’s mostly on me for not getting enough sleep last night, but partly on the film for not keeping me adequately engaged.

All in all, it was certainly one of the movies that I've watched.

Also, dark humor, but I'm now amused at the idea that it really ended with Mando dead and when we see Grogu with the cane and Yoda home, it's because he's fixing to live there now. He'd completed his Yoda transformation.

Was this movie good? No but I had fun watching Star War action on the big screen. It’s a nothing of a movie that was a fun way to kill 2 hours on Memorial Day.

The lady next time me was laughing so hard she was almost hyperventilating every time baby yoda was on screen. It was a bit much.

an elderly couple was sat next to me laughing pretty loudly whenever he showed up (and also went "ohhhh" as characters explained the most obvious plot elements you could infer by just watching). then again, they also laughed even more hysterically when the abundance of Minions interstitials and trailer popped up before the film started (idk if non-IMAX/non-AMC theaters had a similar preshow).

You seeing thing man? Nowhere did I say the movie was amazing and you should like it. You're hallucinating things I didn't say. In fact, if you say it sucks I agree I'm closer to your end than liking it. I'm so confused.

As mid as the movie was and as snooty as me and my 5 year old were to leave halfway through it, I did 100% chuckle to myself any time baby Yoda did anything. His little walk got me every time. I was fully on board to see Rhetta feed him.

I had a good time at the movies with my son and nephew.

supplemented by a large popcorn and cola.

    this fucking sucked lol god

marty voicing the street meat vendor and the babu friks are the only redeeming parts. laughed out loud at "big pipe huh"

rolled my eyes so hard they fell out at the multiple filoni cameos.

think this is as bad if not worse than solo.
