For some reason that logo gives me prequel vibes in a good way. I guess because the orange behind the text is similar to how the logos for those films were
Katee Sackhoff says 'The Mandalorian' destroyed her confidence: 'For 3 years, I basically didn't work'
So is Bo Katan not in the Mandalorian movie? That article makes it sound like it saying she hasn't done any acting since S3 of the show
I guess I don’t understand why she feels that way about the character. That sucks because the show was my first introduction to her character and I loved it.
It looks fine, I’ll probably skip it in theaters unless its got rave reviews though. It’s nice to see that there will be at least some maskless scenes.
I think it looks decent and I'll hundo p be seeing in theaters, it's not even a question. I already don't use my AMC movie pass enough to pass up a Star War in theaters. Hopes aren't high for anything substantive but I'll smile and kick my feet a little at the cool parts, sure. Also nice to see we get to see Pedro.
something good? something i can get invested in story-wise? not some slop that's been screen tested out the ass just to see how many toys it can eventually sell.
Nothing about that trailer told me they figured out any of their storytelling issues from the show. But it's still Pedro Pascal and a cute Yoda looking thing so there's at least some kinda floor there.
i still have skepticism that this needed to be a movie instead of another season (although they obviously retooled S4 to fill a space in the wake of the strikes), but it looks exactly like what you'd expect for a movie like this. low-stakes, and obviously catering to a wide audience, but will probably have fun moments. everyone's gonna have a different level of investment in the franchise. while i think they try to cast a wide net with every project, i know not everything will resonate with every audience, so i never really go in with super high expectations, and generally come out pleasantly surprised when something ends up being great (i.e. Andor). i'd obviously love for more creative risk-taking to happen, and i wish it was happening on the big screen, but i'm not too upset about more Mando (especially if it's a return to form after S3).
The funny thing is that if you go into the Star Wars thread you'll see calls for lower stakes stories. "Not everything has to be a world ending threat!" we all screamed once upon a time. Andor broke people's brains, myself included. I have to actually remind myself I like these characters.
Ok I definitely was not looking forward to this and the first look was bad imo. However this is a good trailer and I’m kinda into now.
