at least give it a subtitle or something. don't turn the planned fourth season of your show into a film and just give it a title named after its two leads unless it's truly fitting of the story.
The title isn't immediate as catchy but it might work if they're going for a slightly kitchy western aesthetic a la season 1.
i'm not opposed to them calling it that, and i am looking forward to the film, but Disney has this habit of just naming a project after one (or in this case two) character(s) for the sake of name recognition instead of the core of the story itself. is the story gonna dive deeper into their dynamic as a duo in a way that the show hasn't? or is it just gonna be what was a planned S4 that just happens to star these two characters and given a bigger budget and shorter runtime? if it's the latter, they could've just called the show The Mandalorian and Grogu or the film The Mandalorian.
i know that, but in a world where people knew about that ahead of time, the logic still would've applied. the question is what makes this film fitting of that title other than the fact that it stars the two lead characters from the show's entire run? it could work as a title if this served as some sort of introduction or finale for the characters (i.e. a defining adventure), but we've already seen them in 3+ seasons of TV, and we have another film in the pipeline that's already set to serve as a finale.
oh I agree the title is dumb and boring but I also don't think a title makes a movie good or not so we'll have to see
agreed. we don't know much about the film itself otherwise. i'm optimistic it'll be good, but who knows for certain?
I mean it’s been the title since they announced it in January, so not really sure what people were expecting. Lol Also there’s a leak of the teaser out there
teaser is fine. looks like your standard fare adventure. interested to see where they take the story.
i’m happy to see that disney studios are having as much difficulty naming their new movie as they have with naming their new theme park rides
Wait, I got it. The Mendalorian. Cause first he was a Mandolorian, but with Grogu, they are Mendolarian.
