I mean, the prequels have elements of them that are good or interesting but overall, they’ve aged poorly as movies. Watching them in 4K really brings the point home as to why making them so CGI heavy was a bad idea in hindsight, especially the sets and CGI aliens.
I don't really get the ending or its implications tbh. This is post OG trilogy and pre-sequels right?
I’m so damn curious as to where this is going next. Don’t want to keep waiting, really wish I had like all of the episodes available at once.
I think it’s less implications and more just showing us that we will likely be exploring things we haven’t seen before as well as expanding some things we haven’t seen much of. we know next to nothing about the species. So whatever we learn about it will be new, maybe we will even learn their name? We have seen during multiple eras that Palpatine kidnapped and experimented on force sensitive babies. But palpatine is dead during this time. So what’s the goal for them now? plus it’s just a great character moment for the Mandalorian. I am sure he will play it off as wanting the higher bounty for bringing it back alive at first . But the finger reaching out clearly reveals its more than that. Especially when we take his flashbacks in to account. I don’t think there is a chance he actually turns it over. Which would greatly harm his reputation as a bounty hunter within the guild. His life is about to greatly change. But to what? That’s what we shall find out.
I’m not trying to go all conspiracy theory on this and certainly won’t lose sleep wondering. All I’m saying is it caught my attention haha. My original thoughts hold. That’s either him, someone stole/retrieved his armor, or Dave and Jon are messing with us. That certainly is very reminiscent of Boba Fett.
bleh the exact boba lookalike should just be an easter egg with no repercussions hopefully they already had actual bossk (I think) in that cantina
Boba survived in Legends so he could definitely come back at some point. I don't think he will for this show though.
I tend to agree. There’s not really much to flesh out here. Sure he has a badass outfit and does cool shit, but so does the Mandalorian and his character is already ten times more interesting.
I thought it was just an alien of the same species, it looked like there were a few of them. But I could be wrong, it could def be him.
I dont really get the setup for why there was an outpost with a baby yoda in it that was guarded(?) by a bunch of henchman think I need a rewatch
I took it as a rival bounty hunter/entity/person captured the baby. So, multiple factions will be at war/in conflict over him/her throughout the season.
See I took it a whole different way. There's a way you can spin it where the "henchmen" are really just refugees protecting something from bounty hunters and stormtroopers.
Seemed to me like the reveal was supposed to imply that the people at that outpost were trying to protect the baby, and all these people had been sending bounty hunters to try and kill it/capture it for their own ends.
