I liked this episode. It was solid. But I think I am getting tired of celeb cameos. Give me less of those and more character cameos, like Zeb. Except give this characters more than a couple lines. Zeb is a great character that should be explored in live action. Celeb cameo #37 is getting distracting.
But how else are they supposed to keep up the 80% cameo/20% plot ratio if they don't ask Jack Black, Lizzo, and Christopher Lloyd to appear?
Episode was okay. Pretty much another side quest episode aside from the last 5 minutes. This season just seems all over the place structure wise. Seasons 1 and 2 felt much more coherent.
Eh, this was very season 1. Go here and see person, but oh look a friendly NPC requests help. Let’s complete this task before moving on.
Oh and, celeb cameos that work for me are like Daniel Craig and JGL. Some people might catch it the first time, but for a lot of people they have to know to listen for it or catch when they know who they’re listening for. Celebs should be behind masks or heavy makeup if it’s just a cameo. Tim Meadows should have been a bothan or something.
People are gonna turn on this show hard after this episode but guess what? My tasteless ass still loved it.
There may be a difference between “turning on the show” and expressing an annoyance/distraction. Not sure though.
All jokes aside though, I really loved that episode. The droids were so nostalgic and the action was pretty great throughout.
Everything from the art direction to the plotting/pacing was so bad here. The writing this season has been a real mess.
Have you been watching the same show as everyone and still thought it was a joke? Oh my sweet summer child.
I was thrown off massively by the male aliens overly British voice. Some terrible choices all round this season.
Aside from the silly cameos there was lots of awesome stuff in the episode, especially the city designs and the droid bar scene. Loved Lloyd’s dialog about being a dooku fan the prequel connection in general.
