Yeah in those videos he basically still has Anakin as a kid but he isn't a major part of the movie, they just find him, bring him to the Temple, and leave him there to start learning. Obi-wan is the real main character of the movies, actually, not Anakin. And then also yeah he has Darth Maul as like Obi-wan's nemesis throughout the three films. It's a really good throughline and has actual emotional weight to it given that Maul killed Obi-wan's master. Dooku is like a political figure, still a former Jedi but not a Sith lord. The videos are worth watching if you've never seen them.
I think a fleshed out Maul would have been awesome. I would have probably keep Qui Gon around a little longer (not forever, but longer). I think my biggest issues with the prequels is the dialogue and acting though...
No order 66? That’s just downright disrespectful. That guy’s version was okay until episode 3. That was the most anti-climatic fanfic I’ve heard in Star Wars in some time. 0/10
Episode 3 is easily the one I’d change the least about. Again, CGI only when needed, better dialogue, and have Anakin actually be the reason Padme dies instead of the broken heart nonsense.
Order 66 is key. I’ve often thought it would be fun to try trimming the prequels into (slightly) more watchable movies. Marcia Lucas style The bad gags can go, most of set pieces across all 3 could be shortened, and I think you can almost entirely cut stuff like the Gungans, young Anakin, Anakin’s trip to Tatooine in Ep. 2, General Grievious, a lot of Utapau. And some scenes in Eps and 2 and 3 could be shuffled around for better pacing. I think the hardest thing is figuring our how to cut out as much of Anakin as possible and still have functional movies. Anakin sucks
When I was a kid I had like every single pod racer that worked with this launcher than launched two at a time. My buddy and I would create our own courses out of tape and toilet paper rolls and shoeboxes. Take me back to those days
Order 66 is dumb, as is everything that happens in the final 1/3 of Episode 3.. Nothing the characters do make sense except to get to Episode 4. Why would Yoda and Obi-Wan split up to fight Palpatine and Anakin separately? Why would they split up Luke and Leia and take them where they took them? Why does Yoda just totally call it quits and go into complete exile? At least Obi-Wan chooses to watch over Luke and ostensibly stay connected to the resistance
Because if Yoda and Obi-Wan fought together there would be no logical reasoning as to why they would lose and they couldn’t kill off Palpatine and Anakin.
Yeah and apparently it’s really good, but no one can watch it because he can’t release it due to copyright.
I never disagreed lol I’ve always thought Yoda and Obi-Wan not simply teaming up and absolutely destroying Palpatine was a dumb idea and one I wish I could have seen. Yoda himself could have ended Anakin.
Ok the way you said it kinda made it sound like you were defending it lol yeah plus they’re both on Coruscant which is where Palpatine is anyway. Anakin is a whole road trip away. Even if they don’t realize how strong Palpatine is, if you take him down then the persecution of the Jedi is over and Anakin will be completely on his own
Why is order 66 so necessary? Is it necessary because the writers of the stories afterwards needed to validate it? Or something else...I’m not too familiar with the lore tbf
I mentioned Obi Wan’s connection to the resistance, but actually I have no idea how Leia knows who he is, let alone how she knows he is so powerful that she views him as her only hope. She doesn’t even meet him in the movie, and if I recall doesn’t grieve his death or anything lol
idk there was seemingly like hundreds of jedi in episode 2 they were jumping all over everything in that gladiator arena
