I hear Sebulba is gonna be in season 3 because Bo Katan has a piece of his pod racer and he wants it back
Yes let’s do this. Bring back podracing! Bring me all the fan service if it’s good. The Mandalorian with Boba= good fan service. Rise of skywalker = bad service.
I thought it was never 100% to be dead Also I can’t remember almost any planets from past series and movies. And I’m a big fan, it’s not like I’m not trying. Why is bringing back tattooine bad? I strongly disagree. The viewers of this, only a fraction are Star Wars nerds
Mostly because they already went to Tattooine in season 1. Idk when they immediately were like "we're going back to Tattooine" in S2E1 I was kind of just like "Really, again?"
The show was good! I get the complaints if it was bad. But it wasn’t. I think it was handled very well. Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I must disagree here.
When we were just there like, what, four episodes prior? Yeah I mean that's kind of weak to me. Part of the allure of the Star Wars universe is that there are all kinds of wild planets to explore and learn about.
People can complain about things, sure. But when some people seem to complain more than just talk about things it gets tiring and feels like a place I don’t want to spend my time.
But I don’t get this. So other shows where a protagonists starts somewhere and returns to the point of interest with many quests/characters/plot points are cheap and boring? Boba was an important part of this season and returning there only made sense
I mean sharing opinions about what works and what doesn’t work about a show is pretty standard stuff.
Im going to say this very gently for obvious reasons. Were you not lamenting that people “complain too much” and it makes you want to leave the thread? Ok then maybe sit this one out then. Otherwise it reads like weird thread gatekeeping.
Din has no connection to Tattooine though. He didn't start there. Din is a wanderer on a mission to find a proverbial needle in a galactic haystack (either a member of Grogu's race or one of the handful of still-living Jedi in a galaxy of thousands of worlds). He has no reason to return to Tattooine unless the writers give him one. It's not like Navarro, which he has a reason to go back to because A) that's where his clan used to be, and B) that's where Greef and Cara Dune are when he needs their help. He has no connection to Tattooine. The nature of his mission going in to season 2 was full of possibilities for where it could take him. And yeah, the reason he went back to Tattooine is because of Boba Fett, right. But bringing back Boba Fett was also something they didn't need to do. It's something they wanted to do because of fan service. I get that they want to get people hyped about things that are familiar and that people already like but I personally think that it would have been more interesting if they had introduced a new Mandalorian character to mentor Din (one who is maybe actually a Mandalorian also) and have all of that happen on a new planet that we haven't already seen in this series. All of this stuff only makes sense in retrospect knowing that they wanted to find a way to shoehorn Boba Fett into this narrative as a way of bringing him back from the dead and setting up his own spin-off show. And I get that lots of people were ok with that, that's fine, I'm just not ok with it. I don't like how a huge amount of this season's running time was spent setting up three different spin-off shows instead of focusing on what made this show so good in the first place. Maybe now that the spin-offs have all been set up they'll let the show stand on its own legs again in season 3 like it did in season 1.
