that picture looks like Mark Hamil twice idk Idk I googled that dude and.... but yeah the cgi stuff is bad
i guess. doesn’t seem like there are too many disney actors jumping at the chance to get tied down to two of their massive properties.
And that had to be done by a character killed in the movies but brought back for shitty fan service instead of a new character because... why exactly? The Luke role *needs* to be played by Luke. There aren't other Jedi masters who can show up and take Baby Yoda, as if other Jedi masters existed we would've seen them in the OT The Boba Fett role does not need to be played by Boba Fett. Another bounty hunter/mandalorian could've easily done the same thing. But Disney needs that $$$$
So now if a character is brought back through natural story progression it’s considered fan service? C’mon. According to reviews and how the fans and even non fans loved those episodes, I’d say the story made the right moves. I’ve seen so many people who didn’t grow up with OT still love Boba when they would have no reason to other than what they’ve seen in the Mandalorian.
"lol turns out this character that was dead actually isn't and just showed up for a random reason haha" is not natural story progression "this character that was alive and well showed up because that is what the story has been leading to" is natural story progression But if you do the first one, it makes doing the second one feel less special.
It would be sad but I wish it happened in TRoS. That movie fell so flat because it took exactly zero risks and undid all of the risks that TLJ took. That fake out death was so cheap.
"You have my armor that is a precious family heirloom left behind by my father" doesn't particularly feel like "no reason" Not like Fett shows up looking for a fantasy football trade or some shit. I don't even like the character much and I thought it worked well.
and it had to be Boba Fett's armor because??? we literally saw the guy get eaten by a giant sand word. its ridiculous to bring him back. Might as well bring back Mace Windu because death has no meaning in the star wars universe.
Ya know...I actually went back and re-watched ROTJ recently and we don't see him get eaten. And it's not like this show is the first place to toy with the idea that he's alive and well. Lucas did, other mediums have...it's not crazy. It didn't HAVE to be Boba's armor, nothing HAS to be anything. But it's fine, it works, and Boba being around didn't cheapen anything for me. I'm also not gonna tell you you HAVE to like it. But it's kinda crazy to just be like "ONLY NEW CHARACTERS HENCE FORTH!" because clearly, that's not how Star Wars works lol. Ya ever notice in anything how often Jabba the Hutt just shows up in other stories? lol
was there a good reason why Boba didn’t track his armor down when it was in the possession of Vanth? was there even a single plausible reason for Vanth to even have Fetts armor in the first place? I may need a rewatch
Not established in Manda. It looks like he was tracking it, but hadn't made a move on Cobb yet. Bet it's involved in the book of Boba show.
except I literally wasn't ONLY NEW CHARACTERS HENCE FORTH. I literally said the opposite -- that going overboard with old characters when old characters are brought back for good reaosn also when else has Jabba appeared?
His issue seems to be with Boba being alive in general. Missing a bit of exposition and "this entire character, and everything related to it's arc is bad because sand monsters are unbeatable" isn't the same to me.
