Looks like a lot of people here are gonna be reading the High Republic books/comics since they’re all new so I’m excited for the discussion.
I think the heist plot of Solo was fun. And I think the lone cowboy traveling from town to town aspect of the Mandalorian is fun The star wars set dressings certainly help both of them be even more fun. But especially with Solo and having the entire point of the movie to be able justifying a throwaway line about the Kessel run confusing distance with time... stuff like that just bogs it down. And I worry the same thing is happening with the Mandalorian.
Out of all the announced shows, I really wish we would have gotten a Crimson Dawn show. I want some underworld shit that the stakes have nothing to do with rebels or the empire
a friend and I joked that had Luke talked to Bo Katan, they could’ve chatted about how his dad was her rival turned ally during their summer internship on Mandalore.
I personally quite enjoyed the finale and the continued shift towards literally every actor on this being an AoS actor gonna be bummed if Boba and Fennec Shand are totally gone from s3 though. I think they had an interesting dynamic going between them and Bo-Katan
One thing that’s not getting enough praise is the score during that final act. Obviously the score but this series is great all together, but that score added so much emotion in the final act. I keep watching it over and over and listening. EDIT: Just saw it’s on streaming services.
According to John Kasdan, this is what Solo 2 would have been. A war of the Crime Syndicates with Han caught in the middle.
is it the same piece that plays during the end credits of the episode? I remember thinking it was great.
Rodriguez and Danny Trejo are cousins, so I'm gonna need him to be cast as a rival crime lord or something
I know this says it takes place in the same timeframe as Mando, but I wonder if we’re going to get any backstory of what he’s been up to since the Sarlacc.
