It’s gotta be hard to train Grogu. He’d have to have another of his species. He’s been around 50 years and is still an infant. How are you gonna make any progress in your lifetime training that? Would kind of be cool to see him reject training and look to be reunited with Mando. But I don’t know how that happens without Luke being like “oh shit I lost the kid”
the mando/moff fight was great, the boba post credits made me laugh and looking forward to more boba in the future, assume they didnt want to announce that series yet due to the finale not airing yet. Didnt really care for the dark troopers either. this season had some excellent moments but probably much prefer S1.
Dark Troopers were definitely underwhelming. The only reason they’re worse than any other droid is because it’s tougher to break them. And I guess they can fly. Maybe if they weren’t hyped up so much then it would be fine
The scene of Din and Grogu was so touching, Din removing his helmet . It’s fun to think about when they eventually reunite and Grogu having more established force abilities! The thing I have the hardest time with is just how the alt-right have essentially co-opted Luke. Pretty frustrating because he was one of my favorites from I was a kid. However, seeing the reaction from the Fandom Menace-types and how they feel validation from this episode since we got rogue one but good guy version with Luke — that’s “real” Star Wars. I’m just tired. It’s also a little frustrating that many seem to completely erase the women and POC that have worked on this show, attributing everything to Filoni and Favreau (some of Favreau’s pacing and dialogue this season has been kinda rough imo). I really enjoy the Mandalorian, but it’s hard for me atm to separate it from fandom
Someone far more loquacious and thoughtful reviewing something: “You see, we actually have to look back those most revered stories of the Victorian Age to begin to appreciate...” Me reviewing The Mandalorian: “When Din took his helmet off, my knees buckled...
If you really want to be mad (or sad) online, just remember what Disney canon is on what happens to all of Luke’s Jedi trainees in a couple decades when Grogu would almost definitely still be small enough to still be there
Yeah Dark Troopers just reminded my of shitty Ironman rips offs or something. Wasn’t a big fan of those.
