I literally don’t understand how people think it’s gonna be the same show. Stop overthinking things haha.
Couldn't even enjoy that whole sequence at the end because I was just waiting for the reveal of his creepy CGI face. Knew there was no way they'd re-cast, they don't have the guts to do that, so was hoping we just wouldn't ever see his face. They could've easily ADR'd Mark Hamill's voice to come out of the hooded stand-in. But oof. Looked real bad and easily ruins the moment.
I was okay with it, kind of loved it actually. But it makes me wonder if we'll ever see him again. I think if we were to see him more than just this one time, they would re-cast.
IMO, Sebastian Stan with a tad bit of makeup would look better as post-ROTJ Luke than any CGI creation.
I kept looking going “is that Sebastian Stan with CGI work being done?” Really loved the episode. Loved everything about this season.
I had the same thought but who knows. I feel like I'm in the minority who is not bothered by the CGI whatsoever so I don't personally understand why people care so much, but I at least thought the minimal use of him here was all they really needed. Overall, I loved the finale and this season. I'm glad we got some great resolution but still have some open-ended pieces of the story Gideon is still alive so hoping we get just a bit more info on the cloning/blood aspect of the plot, Din just removed his helmet in front of everyone and there is obvious conflict with the passing of the darksaber, so the continued discarding of Mandalorian traditions is going to be interesting. My favorite little detail of this episode was whenever the Mandos first meet Boba. I was confused why they hated him so much, but then it made sense. They obviously recognized clones so seeing one in Mandalorian gear was probably really weird. I didn't even anticipate that.
This hit me more than seeing Luke in action, especially with what it meant for him to remove his helmet.
Was wondering this the entire time. My guess was he stayed behind on the ship with Boba Fett. But we never see him again and he definitely wasn't on Tattooine with them after the credits so idk.
Kathleen Kennedy already announced season 3 at the investor call. It’s coming next year. I think it was a VF article a couple months back that said they were gonna begin filming before the end of a year (Pedro was finishing a project). Dude he totally did it was hilarious haha. I think he stayed with Boba, they didn’t really show him after the raided Moff’s ship.
I think they will 100% tie him back in by the end of next season. Like just a little teaser. I bet they initially planned for the show to move past him after this arc, but he became so immediately popular that I can't imagine Disney letting them ditch him entirely. And narrative-wise so far he has been the sole impetus for Mando's growth
