Does Boba know that Grogu has ties to the Jedi or that the Jedi are some how involved in this whole plot. Can’t imagine he’d be cool with that
something that confused me in one of the early episodes of s2: Mando has shown a lack of understanding as to who the Jedi are, and what the force is (thinking Baby Yoda's using the force was his species). But he still went "may the force be with you". Do people in the star wars universe just say that without understanding what the force is? Or am I misremembering his familiarity with the Jedi/the force.
The only thing I thought was kinda how “bless you” just is the response for sneezing regardless of religion or anything like that now. So maybe something like that? Probably hears authority figures say it all the time
Specifically I assume it’s a phrase associated with those sympathetic to the Rebellion/New Republic. He was just trying to get on their good side and knew that saying it would potentially help. And yeah I’m pretty sure the idea of the Force is vaguely known by the general populace, but only really through its connection to the Jedi. Han Solo knew about it but thought it was just a bunch of religious bullshit for around 1.5 movies up until Darth Vader force-pulled a blaster right out of his hands lol
Got it. So he doesn't really know or care what the force is. He just knows how to properly interact with various groups of people. That makes sense.
Let's speculate recklessly on who will direct the final episode! My dream would be George Lucas or Rian Johnson while I think it's more likely that it's just going to be Favreau. What y'all thinkin?
Probably Favreau. I’d love to see Rian direct an episode of the Mandalorian. Honestly would be a smart play to have him dip his toes back in the waters of SW. Not that I’m not ready for his trilogy, but wouldn’t mind him directing some episodes while we wait. I’s also be hesitant to see Lucas direct anything. That said, I would absolutely love a story by or have him work closely with someone like Favreau and Filoni. Would be great to have some George Lucas Star Wars again, perhaps one last time, but only if done with someone who can edit his bullshit ha.
Yea, it'll for sure be Favreau or Filoni, leaning Filoni for no particular reason. I'd love for Rian to do an episode. It'd be great. My hopes for his trilogy are disappearing fast after last week's announcements.
Because the man was a visionary at one point. Understand the doubt. But much like Luke with Vader, we’d like to believe there is still good in him.
Yeah I think left unchecked I wouldn’t trust it either. But I think he could offer something in a collaborative effort edit: also, I’m not saying I think he should direct. Just my speculation on why people would want it
the concept of lucas directing anything is pretty far fetched. he made six movies in the period of a 50 year career. he’s always been more of a producer.
The block function is so nice. I don't have to see someone talking shit on George Lucas because they'd talk to their mom or anyone like that. LOL. But forreal I would love to see George Lucas direct an episode. I know he's not the greatest director, persay, but it would be awesome nonetheless.
Lucas coming back just to help with design aesthetic and some ideas would be kinda cool to me personally.
