I think Boba could have gotten his armor and left Tatooine whenever he wanted, but he was emotionally not ready to until he saw Din driving away with his armor. That was the spark to make him leave and be more proactive.
Reckless speculation: With the announcement of the new shows and the fact that there will be some sort of crossover event between them, that’s got to be The 2nd Siege of Mandalore, right? Mando, Ahsoka, and the New Republic join Bo-Katan and retake the planet, maybe even from Thrawn?
Finally caught up on everything. What a great show. Best SW content out there. The seismic charge was the prequel callback I didn't know I wanted.
still salty about that tbh. Not that they didn’t eventually perfect the new NK look, but the original look we got at him with the baby and Hardhome...he was legit terrifying
The more I sit with it, the more--and I can't believe I'm saying this--I think that Bill Burr's performance in this episode is one of the best in all of Star Wars.
Burr’s controversial standup aside (I wouldn’t know much about it) it’s confounding that he’s actually a good actor and his credits are as qualitative as they are - he’s pretty close to batting 1000%
There’s not a lot of phenomenal acting across Star Wars to begin with. Adam Driver and Ewan Mcgregor probably have the strongest performances since they carry them across an entire trilogy.
yeah it’s extremely slim pickings for Star Wars which is totally wild to think about. the sequel trilogy has the lion’s share of the good acting for the IP which really is only a handful of solid examples.
