For Pioneer, it was a $5 preorder deposit through Pillar and once they’re ready to ship you’d pay the rest. At one point, they mentioned pressing more copies than what was reserved for Pioneer but I’m not sure if they did that or not.
Beginning of this new track sounds so much like "Iris" by Goo Goo Dolls, and now I want them to cover that song.
No. I assume it's like them saying "we're approaching this like it's our first album and going in with no limitations"
This is pretty much exactly what I think this is. They announced a few weeks ago that they were explicitly working on new material.
Going go down a The Maine rabbit role starting today. Hard to believe I’ve been following this band since 2007 and The Way We Talk. Tons of memories meeting these guys at all their shows too. Hard workers and always so humble.
The last thing I saw was a tweet from Pat at the end of November saying it was coming soon. They’re on a social media blackout to record the new album, so I’m hoping once that’s over with there’ll be an update.
Colby is mentioned 10+ times here as being hugely important for the band, which makes me curious as to why he wasn't involved in this new record - but I'm assuming just a change in creative direction
Pretty underwhelmed, I can tell this is definitely gonna be a grower for me.. especially after how good the previous record was.
I'm only halfway through this and I really like it thus far. It gives my You Are Ok vibes in the sense I can tell its the Maine but its not exactly the version of them that comes to mind immediately when I think of them. I think thats a good thing. I loved S/T but I think another version of that would be off my rotation pretty quick since I already have a version
This album will grow on me for sure, but i was very excited when i heard their single Touch back in 2024 thinking they were going to head in that direction. This is the opposite.
After hearing "Touch" live last week, I sure hope we get something in that vein one day. Loving the direction they went with on this one.
I LOVE Touch. Would absolutely be down for an album in that style. Upbeat with lots of catchy guitar hooks.
