Honestly I’m so anxious to hear the new stuff after LLL as that album is one of the best I’ve heard in years and it really resonated with me. The weird thing for me is a lot of their previous stuff has been hit and miss after B&W.

I’m hoping I dig the new sound.

 

Pat said on Instagram that the last song is getting mixed and the album will be sent off to be mastered next week.

 

All happening so quick! Expecting a new song early next year then?

 

I’d assume so. I’d be very surprised if it isn’t played at 8123 fest.

 

God I am so excited for this. I think they will follow a similar cycle as Lovely Little Lonely, which I believe was announced right near 8123 fest with a single in late January. They also recorded during a similar time.

I can't wait to hear this. Most of me is excited, but part of me is nervous. It's going to be hard to top Lovely Little Lonely as a whole...that record is just an absolute masterpiece from start to finish and flows perfectly through every song. I think I should lower expectations a bit just to be fair.

 

I didn't expect them to top American Candy and then they did, so here's to hoping.

I still need LLL on vinyl but it appears to be sold out everywhere here in the UK.

 

I asked John to describe the vibe of the record in two words today and he said "Urgent Emo".

So there's that.

I can't forget how great LLL is. Very stoked for this.

 

I have just discovered Ho Ho Hopefully for the first time and I am addicted. Happy holidays everyone!

You should also watch Merry Christmas Baby by Brighten. It’s sort of a continuation of the Ho Ho Hopefully video.

I'd have to bet the new single will drop before 8123 fest, either next Friday (11th) or the week after (18th). It's all happening!

 

I honestly can’t wait. Fingers crossed they play it at the fest.
