Did the person at the top of this thready really insinuate that Pioneer had no catchy hooks???

I am going to go and listen to American Candy until I like the whole thing. I am determined to.

 

The only one that compares to me is The Academy Is...

...what could have been.

 

I’d say The Maine, All Time Low, Mayday Parade all survived. Everyone else, not so much

 

What could have been indeed...

 

I have to get in on this ranking.

This is me. I like their recent stuff enough but Pioneer is their best work for me by FAR and the more simple poppier stuff doesn't stick with me nearly as much, not that it's bad by any means

 

The Academy Is... debut was incredible. I wasn’t a huge fan of anything that came after it though.

I listened to Pioneer on my run today, and yeah, I was wrong, that album rips.

 

Now i feel like i need to make a night out of listening to those two records.

 

Pioneer would be so much better received if the middle didn't drag the record out. I've always thought cutting I'm Sorry and Jenny makes it a more enjoyable listen.

 

Justice is served for Pioneer! For real though, glad you liked it

I listened to Pioneer and FH last night and still got goosebumps at Waiting for My Sun to Shine, especially the hidden track

 

It had more in common with their last three records than I remembered.

 

some of my favorite songs by this band are on Pioneer and others I cannot remember for the life of me.
