This song really makes me wonder what the rest of the record will sound like (thats the point, ha). But in all seriousness, it is a notable sonic departure from them despite maintaining the core of their "sound". I also noticed immediately how much more angsty this song was compared to their prior stuff. AC and LLL were much more retrospective, nostalgic, etc. This song has a lot more edge to it.
It makes sense because everything I hear makes it sound like this is going to be a bit more deep, emotional and heavy and of course working with Matt Squire and not Colby I don't think it's going to have those strong pop influences. It's going to be The Maine, dressed as rock and roll with pop influences but maybe a tad heavier. Very curious, John said this will have strings on almost every track, looks like a sole acoustic track as well which will be nice. I'm anticipating late march-early april

Really liked CSWS back in the day and then I completely ignored this band from 2010-2015. Absolutely LOVE the last two records and what they’ve become. New song rules. The Maine rule.
