I love the atmosphere on LLL much much much more. That’s a personal preference though - it’s where my musical taste lies. That album was THE ONE for me. But I totally get why people are in love with this one.
LLL is definitely tops for me from this band. That was just everything working together in perfect harmony.
Yeah, same. It’s just...unbelievable. I press play on that record from Track 1 and I cannot believe how incredible it flows through to the end. That’s not to take away from this one - and I know this one is great - but LLL is just the ONE for me personally. It might be my favorite ever.
I don’t know how I’ll feel when this has had more time to sink in but it’s currently blowing away LLL for me personally
The whole “I was on the verge of breaking down then you came around” parts break me every time. If this had come out during the year of my divorce and finding someone new I’d have been a complete mess
So far only two listens to YAO, and I think I need some more time to process it. I really like it, but I think LLL is the better album.
Lyrically, LLL is a lot more relatable to me, or at least it was when it was released. But sonically speaking, I'm enjoying the new record WAY more than I did LLL.
I’m already obsessed with this album and I have no desire to form an opinion on whether I like this or LLL more. They’re both near perfect.
I remember going to see The Maine on the Black & White tour in 2010 and not telling my girlfriend at the time because I knew she'd make fun of me. Look at them now.
Honestly, this band is probably one of the very few bands around who know how to make a solo really impactful. When that guitar line finally comes in, absolute bliss
How can this be real? Then again it makes sense that two of the bands best songs ever are tied together
Y’all really weren’t kidding about the MCR vibes, particularly on Slip the Noose and Heaven. Numb Without You may actually be my least favorite which is kind of funny cus that’s been a trend since at least American Candy (where the first single ends up being my least favorite). This post was edited because I issued “actually” 3 times in the same sentence. We’ll just leave it at I followed @Aregala with the Friday night buzz.”
I Feel It All Over was the one I was least sure of first listen, and now on listen 5 or whenever I’m at I can’t believe I ever felt that way
Ok I promise last post tonight but I’m going to start an honest to god petition to tell them to play this album in full on the Sad Summer Fest.
