If anyone missed the vinyl of this back in the spring, there are a bunch of new variants up on their site: https://shop.81twentythree.com/collections/themaine
They sent out an email saying Pillar members and people who watch tonight’s stream get the first chance at saving spots in line for the Pioneer vinyl repress. Pillar members/people who bought stream tickets: for $5 you reserve your place to preorder Pioneer at a tba date. At some point Pioneer will go on preorder to the public.
Okay. I need Pioneer. What’s the estimated public release? Also how much is Pioneer going to run? I hope they also repress LLL.
Yeah - whenever the Pioneer press is live can someone post in this thread?? Pioneer is the only Maine record I absolutely love. Everything else has been half killer half filler for me.
No time frame for the public presale was given. Pat said the Pillar presave will be up at least a week.
Pioneer is just not my thing, mostly due to the slight Americana vibes (anything with even a hint of "twang" is usually rejected by my ears)... but I still really enjoy When I'm at Home, Don't Give Up on Us, and Like We Did. But I'd still take Pioneer over Forever Halloween every day of the week.
Don’t like Pioneer at all, but I’ve seen that opinion around before. As a huge You Are Ok fan, I understand preferring their more rock oriented sound.
Don’t Give Up On Us and Like We Did are two of my favorite songs by them, but I don’t come back to almost anything else on Pioneer. I should definitely revisit it at some point, but I don’t think it’ll ever touch their last 4 albums for me. I’d put those in a different league (especially LLL)
Time and Some Days alone put Pioneer above a lot of their other pre-LLL stuff for me, the hook on Some Days especially is one of their absolute best imo
When I'm At Home was def my most played but i really enjoy: Identify My Heroine Dont Give Up Misery Like we Did While Listening to Rock Waiting for my Sun Some Days was fun too, but it's allure wore off quickly. I'd prolly love it now, again. I also named almost the entire record so I obviously love it.
I really enjoy: My Heroine Some Days Dont give up on us Misery Like we did When i'm at home Also really like good love and hello world as b sides.
