I am going to give You Are OK a spin. If I'm being honest, I wasn't in a good place when that album came out so I don't think I gave it the chance it really deserves from me.

Hmm.. can someone explain how the two are similar? I love both, but I don't hear how they sound remotely alike.

 

I don't think they sound anything alike but Different stokes different folks..ya know!?

 

Oh and I'm only on "I feel it all over" and I take back whatever I said about this album before. I guess sometimes you just have to wait for an album to come into your life when the time is right.

 

They're both cut from the same bouncy Third Eye Blind cloth.

The Background is easily one of my favorite 3EB songs. So sad, so raw.

Bad Behavior and English Girls definitely share a lot of sonic DNA

 

You Are OK is now on my list of favorites. "Flowers on the Grave" is a masterpiece.

I'm coming around on this one more, my first impressions were just less positive coming off YAO. Tbh my least favorites are High Forever and DPB and the mix still bugs me on Pretender, but everything else is cool

How on earth do you not dig DPB?!?!?!

 

Checking back in - the 3EB album is good! Not sure how 'into it' I'll really get, but I really enjoyed it. Burning Man is great!
