I’m pretty sure it’s going to be High Forever. They’ve used that in their Instagram stories quiet a bit when promoting the album. Also last time I checked it was the only audio, outside of the singles, from the album uploaded to their YouTube channel.
Also yeah I don’t see a world where the next single isn’t High Forever followed by DPB. Probably not a coincidence that two of the three most radio ready singles were not issued before the album release
I played this record when my girlfriend and I were eating breakfast yesterday, and "Dirty, Pretty, Beautiful" was the point where she started nodding along. She's not a "radio" or "popular music" person, but I feel like it's still a good indicator haha.
High Forever was also the song they pushed for Spotify's New Music Friday playlist last week. It's definitely gonna be the next single.
Damn, I hope putting out High Forever as a single doesn’t kill the momentum they’ve built up with Sticky
Is it because you don't like the song? It's not my favorite on here, but definitely top 3 on the album in terms of 'most radio ready'.
It's my least favorite song on the album but I still like it. It's one of the least radio-ready songs on the album in my opinion. I'm kind of shocked to see people saying they think it will do well on radio. Lips, DPB, and Pretender are all way more radio ready.
Really, Pretender? What's a song that's similar to that on radio right now? I could see that working in like 2005, maybe.
Have y'all... heard that Olivia Rodrigo song? Definitely think something as guitar heavy as Pretender wouldn't be such an insane radio push except that it's mixed terribly
I think there's a big difference between a third single from a now-famous pop star getting played regardless of how guitar-heavy it is and a band still trying to break through.
I know that HF is for sure more radio ready because I like it so much less than pretender lol total correlation
I mean that's just not true - it's way more in line with a sound that is really big on pop-rock radio right now. I'm not saying it would be some massive #1 overall hit, but I think it's immediately the most accessible to the typical audience looking through playlists. I'll agree with you about DPB falling into that category, too, though.
And I don't find High Forever to be accessible at all lol, but hey that's how opinions work I guess right
Just a random thought...cause I haven't seen anyone talk about this song specifically... but English Girls is a friggin jammmmmm.
"English Girls" was great until they wrote a better version of it with "Bad Behavior" – now it's hard for me to go back to it.
“Oh no a band I like wrote two great songs that resemble each other stylistically” Nobody let them near AC/DC…
I'm not knocking them for it. I just think "Bad Behavior" is so much better than "English Girls" that it's the one I prefer.
