No way Pretender gets an attempt at radio push. If they really wanna' aim for radio play it would be High Forever or DPB.
I can't really sit here and say what they should do as a next single, since I probably haven't listened to mainstream radio in about 2 years. I stream Spotify at all times.
Really love that they don't pretend CSWS doesn't exist when they make set lists. Into Your Arms is such a classic.
I can't really see Pretender on the radio but I also never expected the Maine to be on the radio in general. We listen to Altnation and some of the stuff they play is completely random. That new Lorde song is a snoozefest and they play that a lot. I just feel like these guys are really riding this wave right now and they aren't going to let it fall off once Sticky has run it's course. I lowkey hate High Forever so I hope that's not it. DPB would be my choice
Yeah they just need to do a Radio edit for DPB like Jason said but that seems like it'd be a great single. Not much else I could see working excepte *maybe* Lips.
I have a friend that tells me about listening to the radio and I'm like.. tf??!?! Like get some damn Spotify or AM on your damn phone. To be clear, he's got the money to do it.
Agreed. Love that they busted out their Punk Goes Crunk "I Wanna Love You" cover in their 2019 tour as well
the radio stations in CA all still are playing Sublime, too. I couldn't function without my Apple Music sub.
I can respect that. Sticky just screams clear single to me. The lyrics even tell you it should be a single
It definitely works as a single, and obviously with hindsight we know it was the right choice, I just think Lips is such an infectious jam that it screams single to me.
I mean they hit the nail on the head with this song in general. I can relate so hard to the song and what it represents 150%.
I like High Forever a lot too. Glad it's on the record, though it seems like it could've easily also fit as a John The Ghost song.
My fiancée loves listening to xm. She likes feeling like she's listening to the radio with other people, and she likes the commentary of the hosts. She also doesn't like picking artist/or songs. She'd rather just throw on the radio. It drives me insane but it's something she just doesn't care about anymore When we went to the beach, I made a playlist of all the stuff they plan on altnation as a happy medium haha
High Forever definitely songs the most like stuff on the radio rn in this genre. Personally I'd want Dirty Pretty Beautiful to get more push.
