I am going to listen to my first The Maine record i guess

 

I’d start elsewhere but do you brother! At least do the last two

 

Never had any interest before but I have some time to kill at work! Let’s see if this grabs me

 

Taking John's solo album for a spin now!

 

However you feel, or don't feel about this - just give Lovely Little Lonely a chance.

 

I second this. Its probably the most beautiful album ever.

 

"Drive" is a friggin BANGERRRRRRRRR

 

Literally brings me tears of joy. Feels like the place I grew up. I have a very visceral reaction to that album.

 

My only issue with their albums, they are wayyyy toooo shorttttt. I want like 2 hours of just "rip my heart out" tunes in one album

 

I can't even explain how this album makes me feel. But I literally listen to it at least 2-4 times a week. I could be in a good mood, sad mood, angry mood...doesn't matter...it just...Gets me

 

Ok, last song on John's solo album is literally everything. I am a sobbing mess over here at my desk

 

Yes, and some of Pat's best drumming!

 

This was good! I was half paying attention but some solid melodies in here. I'll probably return to it. I'll check out the other one

"If Your Light Goes Out" feels like a spiritual successor to "Growing Up" – the naivety and sense of limitlessness replaced by realism and a little more world-weariness.

Not knocking his past performances, he always gets the job done and is high key the reason so many of their songs groove they way they do, but yeah this record has unquestionably his best work

 

The amount of goosebumps I still get when the end of Little transitions into The Sound of Reverie is insane!

This is somehow more immediate to me than LLL was. Really great stuff.
