Just finished my first listen. Incredible. Some thoughts: 'Anxiety' hit super hard after the year we all just dealt with. "Pretender" and "DPB" are my two faves upon first listen. The 1975 vibe on "Love in Real Time" was a pleasant surprise. I enjoyed the second half more, but god damn if that first half doesn't just hit us with absolute radio ready bangers.
I'm on my third listen. Admittedly, I skipped through the songs I had heard the first time. The last two listens have been much better with everything in order. Great album start to finish.
Album rules. (Regarding singles, IMO no way should "DBP" have been the lead single. For one, it's way too long.)
This is the perfect take for the song. In the context of the album, it makes so much sense being a later radio single. It will make it on the airwaves, believe that. This band is primed for something big...and they deserve it like no other.
Yeah, definitely. I think it could work, but it doesn't scream "radio in 2021" to me at all. "High Forever" has more of that vibe to be honest.
after several listens it feels too B-side to me, just feels out of place. Think it would have been better as an acoustic solely song
