The more I listen to this song, the more I think my main issue with it is that the guitars are totally buried especially in the chorus. I wonder if this is a specific stylistic choice. But they sound totally buried back there and it definitely sort of ruins it for me.
It could definitely hit way harder if the guitars didn’t sound so far away. The only things that really sound “up front” are the drums
Kinda cool to see Sticky so high up on Apple Music's Alt Ctrl playlist. Still have held off from listening, but happy to see them still getting success.
Is the vinyl available anywhere for pre order? I could've sworn there was a yellow variant in their webstore, but now I cant even find the standard black anywhere.
The Maine Official Merch store (T-shirts, shirts, music) I’m seeing some bundle options in here but not the record by itself
@manoverboard365 You could do the 1 month membership for $10 to get access to their livestream next week and then also order the vinyl while in there.
The self restraint you have is amazing, anything this band puts out I'm searching days before to see if there are clips. You won't be disappointed my friend, great song.
There's enough content and music getting released all the time nowadays that I can hold off. But I'm very excited!!
Listened to American Candy today for the first time in a long time. It held up wayyyyy better than I was expecting. What a summer bop of an album. Got me more excited for XOXO.
Definitely. Talk about about some memories being tied to a new album. Blink’s California and Rise Against’s Sufferer & The Witness…I have so many memories of 4th of July because of those albums. I’m sure there are others but those are two off the top of my head. I remember being really into the Black & White singles around this time right before that album dropped too.
That was the album that got me into this band. But then I found "Lovely Little Lonely" and my life changed!
Oh yeah I have memories like that specifically of different summers with Jacks Mannequin-Everything in Transit and The Dangerous Summer-Reach for the Sun AND War Paint. Also oddly enough, Go Radio - Lucky Street and Third Eye Blind - Dopamine
exactly. I’m getting married this year and I have been playing these songs constantly. The songs are fun and John sounds great
I've stopped listening to singles at this point, but I'm excited to hear the whole record next week. With that being said, I haven't enjoyed anything I've heard more than anything off of You Are OK, but that's a really tough act to follow anyway.
