Nightly is a great fit. I think I've seen them with Grayscale twice and still don't have any real thoughts about that band haha
Two bands that I was really hoping developed into something.....more, but they're enjoyable enough. Happy about that
The Maine’s new album has a playtime of 40 minutes which means it’s longer than AC, LLL, XOXO, and self titled. The only recent record that’s longer is YAO at 44 minutes. The ender is “the best song they’ve ever written,” per their manager. Confirmed a track on the album is called Green. One of the songs is also the title of the album. Garrett said it’s a “flowy” record; “if something happens on the record it has a counterpoint (somewhere else) on the album.” The only thing left to finish are John’s vocals, which he’s knocking out right now. Two songs are already in the final mixes stage. The album cover is finished; “it’s not all green”, says Garrett. I can’t wait. This might be my most anticipated for 2026. I think we’ll definitely hear a first single before or around the time the spring tour starts.
Like somebody else said, it’s on Pillar. I’ve gotten more than my money’s worth from being on there, highly recommend it. I think it’ll especially be fun since things are ramping up to this new record. Regardless, I’ll always share the things I find exciting on here.
I love when these guys make comprehensive records that tell a story - LLL and The Maine are two great examples. I am really encouraged by basically everything I'm hearing about this one so far too.
They are incredible. This would be an awesome tour. loved the Wonder Years feature on Not Afraid to Die deluxe.
Also heard the album described as “quiet panic” in terms of the emotions and lyrics, and Garrett said the first song they’re thinking they’ll put out isn’t necessarily indicative of the feeling of the whole record, as it has a flow and everything is very intentional. Hype meter is definitely rising for me
I’m a sucker for concept records. LLL is all the better for having thread lines, so I’m excited for it to be a full work and created with that intention.
Looks like they’re teasing the new album. The other colors are their previous albums’ Dyed colors reverse-chronologically, so the new one is green
