I’ve had various parts of dyed stuck in my head over the past week

good indicator I love it lol

 

I feel like I can make a case for a number of albums to be ranked #2 after LLL.

LLL is their opus. So so good.

 

I feel like my Maine ranking is probably not standard...

Only part I'm not pretty solid on is AC & CSWS - could arguably swap those two. Dyed is somewhere under YAO but above XOXO.

It's also interesting to me that the first year after YAO came out I think I felt a little let down by it, but it's really stuck out to me over the last couple years. And with XOXO I really thought I loved it at first, and lately I'm realizing a lot of it does nothing for me. Sticky, Lips, and Pretender are great, but I really don't care for High Forever or DPB. The rest is good it just doesn't stand out in their discog for me.

 

YAO was such a disappointment for me when it came out. I find the record to be quite un-uplifting compared to LLL, which I think is my biggest problem with it.

i'm so upset i didn't buy this when i had the chance. it's probably my favorite record that's come out in the last 10 years. i will never not preorder their records again.

i got into this band around the time of American Candy. i like the older stuff, it was just harder to get into in my 30s.

 

I keep checking this thread hoping for vinyl order links and it's more rankings.

i heard rumors of an American Candy repress. not sure of anything else coming.

 

I bet we could get enough orders for a Chorus-exclusive pressing of LLL

 

do we have any idea why they do such limited pressings of things?

they could obviously sell out a pressing of AC, LLL.

also weren't they going to re-record black and white?

I didn't realize it was relatively common to have gotten into the band at/around AC. Thought I was probably one of the only ones.

Admittedly, I still haven't spent much time with any of the earlier records. I probably should.

 

I should add that Forever Halloween is at the bottom.
