I don't think it's the biggest departure, but it's kind of interesting that it's a The Maine song and not a John The Ghost song.
As much as I love this band, looking at the artwork again for this single, I feel like single/album artwork really is not their strong point. Like some of them are fine, but most aren't great at all (looking at you LLL and XOXO)
Yeah, I dig this song. Not their best, but it's still a fun little bop and it's over before you can get tired of it. Also, the artwork for LLL and XOXO are both excellent. And "Spiraling" absolutely rules, you're just flatout wrong there @Craig Manning
Even by the standards of “love as drug” songs, which I generally think are stupid, I find this one to be particularly bad. And it’s made worse by having to bear the weight of the closing track slot. Again, you’re welcome to enjoy it! I just personally don’t find anything redeeming about it.
I really enjoy Touch. I think it's cool they tried something different. Honestly reminds me of a Bloc Party type of dance rock thing
For the first show on 7/13/24 I saw this schedule (probably posted earlier in this thread tbh) 09:15-10:00 Mayday Parade 08:05-08:50 The Maine 07:00-07:40 The Wonder Years 06:05-06:35 We The Kings 05:15-05:45 Knuckle Puck 04:25-04:55 Real Friends 03:35-04:05 The Summer Set 02:45-03:15 Daisy Grenade 02:00-02:30 Like Roses I went to the Chicago date and it was structurally the same but everything was moved up by about half an hour (but that's probably because Chicago has noise curfews). So this isn't 100% fixed but should give you a pretty close idea.
I'm so old. I was going to get tickets for NYC today on StubHub. But sitting in 90+ degree weather for 6 hours to see all the bands I want seems miserable.
Had to bail on the MD date to travel. Bummed to miss The Maine and TWY on the same day, but it was gonna be a bear to make this work on a Friday afternoon in the burbs with no car lol
I am coming to the realization that “how to exit a room” is one of my favorite songs in their entire catalog
I don’t know if these are new but there are 2 vinyl variants up on their webstore. Self-titled Vinyl (Sea Glass Blue) Self-titled Vinyl (Clear w/Smoke)
