I kind of don’t love this as a whole - the back half doesn’t have the dynamic energy that You Are OK, and LLL have, but it’s still upper tier of their discography. Definitely like it more than their last.
Track 4, 5,6,7,9 are all home runs for me. The rest is great too, but those all made the ole playlist haha
New versions of the songs are fine, but the originals are better. Would much prefer a Deluxe that includes new songs/b-sides
Just gonna toss it out there - if anyone would be interested in a copy of Lovely Little Lonely in exchange for American Candy, hit my dms
The Maine played at Xfinity live for free last weekend. 5/14 songs they played were from the new album including “I think about you all the time”. im so pumped for them, and happy they are giving the new album the love it deserves. Pretty surprising to me though that none of these songs are really doing anything on alt radio
Wait. Maybe I fully imagined it, but I thought that Thoughts I Have While Lying in Bed was charting really well on the alt chart?
I know it was being played but I’m looking at the schedule and I saw it played once in the last 3 days on our local station edit: just entered alt top 40 at #39
The show I went to in December was pretty great overall, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little bummed that they didn't play "I Think About You All The Time." That one should become a staple from this record.
Sounds like Tim picked up The Starting Line under Eighty One Twenty Three management. Wonder if we’ll see them on the next fest
The last picture on that post has a list and the last item is deconstruct & reinvent. So I guess they could be teasing new music with a bigger sonic departure than they've done for a while, or it'll be some kind of remix album for Self Titled. The post does say the self titled era has been off to a crazy start, which is a weird way to put it if Sad Summer is the last thing they're doing before new music. Idk just trying not to get my hopes up too high.
Can't be the only one who started reading this expecting it to be a breakup announcement or that someone was leaving the band
