Well to be fair, they played Sad Summer Fest in MI in 2021 and 2023. They were just there a few weeks ago. We haven't had them here in OR since 2019 LOL. But I did notice they played here 2018, then THREE TIMES in 2019: back-to-back dates in April, then another after YAO release. Seems like some regions get a few rounds of touring depending on location.
The tour vinyl is limited 50 per show. They go up at 12 pm pacific on Pillar and then 2 pm pacific on the 8123 store tomorrow.
If anything the NYC venue is wayyy too small. It’s a 1k room. In Spring 2022 they did a 1.4K venue and then in Fall 2022 they sold out a 3600 cap venue. Not sure what the average room size is for the rest of the stops. Similar size?
If anyone is down to play.. Make The Maine Mixtape Album Your favorite song from each album (9) Plus one from an EP, bside or whatever you want. Go! I’ll post mine shortly.
Yeah it baffles me that they'd do Irving Plaza. This band could probably fill Terminal 5 with them announcing this far in advance.
Tried to sequence mine like an actual album instead of just going in order. Couple tough picks (LLL especially) but I’m reasonably happy with this: Slip the Noose Lips English Girls Everything I Ask For Inside of You How to Exit a Room Loved You a Little I Only Wanna Talk to You Love & Drugs Like We Did (Windows Down)
Time to Go Inside of You (I guess?) When I'm at Home White Walls Miles Away Sound of Reverie Numb Without You Dirty, Pretty, Beautiful Thoughts I Have While Lying in Bed Some comments on my own list: - Time To Go and White Walls are two songs by this band I feel are severely underrated and perhaps even forgotten by some fans. CSWS as a whole strikes me as such an interesting mess of very mature ideas, combined with them sounding like horny 19 year olds. Sometimes even in the same breath. - Had the privilege of hearing them play When I'm at Home at the Pier 17 show last fall and damn near shit myself it caught me so off guard. - Black and White really sticks out like a sore thumb, huh? Was genuinely hard to pick a song I completely like all the way through. - Seriously, Time to Go is such a great song.
Time To Go is mad underrated. When the band originally sequenced CSWS it was actually the opener - I still think it would’ve been the right call
I Must Be Dreaming Growing Up Like We Did (basic I know but nostalgia really got me) Run English Girls The Sound Of Reverie (fav song of all time) My Best Habit Dirty, Pretty, Beautiful i think about you all the time
We All Roll Along Saving Grace Misery Blood Red Unlost How do you feel? Broken Parts Dirty, Pretty, Beautiful Leave in five Perfectly out of key not sure about my FH and AC picks.. the rest were pretty easy.
Wasn’t that a Sad Summer show? Or a headliner? either way they’re definitely going to need to upgrade. Just hope not term 5, hate that venue
Into Your Arms Don't Stop Now My Heroine Love & Drugs English Girls I Only Wanna Talk To You Slip the Noose Dirty Pretty Beautiful I Think About You All The Time The pre-AC albums don't do much for me. But picking only one song from those last 5 albums sure was tough.
We all roll along Inside of you Like we did (windows down) Run Same suit, different tie Lost in nostalgia I feel it all over Dirty pretty beautiful I think about you all the time Loved you a little
We change, we wait I must be dreaming Don't stop now Like we did four words Miles away Taxi Numb without you Sticky thoughts i have laying in bed
