Heavily front-loaded album. Even then, one song sounds way too much like We Didn't Start The Fire at times. And a snoozer of a closer.
Opinions beyond “it’s pretty good” seem to be all over the place on this one. I haven’t seen any I agree with yet.
My LLL vinyl. It's in pristine condition (played once) if anyone is interested please PM me also sorry @Jason Tate if this is against the rules pls don't yell at me
Funny is the worst song on the record I feel like. Wildly different opinions on this across the board.
Ok I like them all but if we’re on best/worst songs, I’m gonna do the song ranking thing now that I’ve probably listened to this album like 15 times 1. how to exit a room 2. i think about you all the time 3. thoughts i have while lying in bed 4. cars & caution signs 5. leave in five 6. dose no. 2 7. blame 8. spiraling 9. the mood i’m in / jsyk 10. funny how?
I never put it very high on my list but the first thing I woke up to this morning was leave in 5 in my head
Man, I love it so much. I connect with it deeply and I love their slower stuff - kind of like “Lonely” the interlude on LLL. The second verse and the clips of his child in the song just melt me every time I hear it.
Damn, yeah…this album is special. I can’t really remember the last album I listened to where I knew it was a special one during the first listen. I think it might have been Mother Nature by Dangerous Summer.
I've never done this with an album before, but I've been looping this back to the beginning after Cars & Caution Signs. The album feels virtually perfect up to that point. Not to add to the pile on with Spiraling. It's...fine? It feels like a bonus track tacked on to make the record an even 10 tracks. I guess it's just not something I can imagine catching my ear in a Starbucks, where I'm pretty sure I'd shazam the living daylights out of every other song here.
