Leave in five just makes me happy and want to move. I’m surprised there isn’t more love for that one.
Not sure why, but I'm just not really clicking with this after half a dozen listens. It's perfectly enjoyable, but it's not hitting me like their last four have. Kind of surprised that a lot of people seem to like it more than XOXO, because I think that album is way, way sharper melodically. Hoping I come around on it more with more time!
Man, I don’t even think it’s in the same galaxy as LLL. I don’t think any of their albums are, to be fair.
More like Craig Lanning. I kid. After 24 hours is hard for me to "rank" anything, but I wouldn't be surprised for this to become my new second fave.
Legit my feeling. I can already say it’s my second fav behind LLL. I only really clicked with a handful of songs from YAO and XOXO. I like or love every track on this. No short tracks as well.
This record is my official entry into the band. Have listened to LLL in passing in the past but never spent as much time with it as it warrants. Wow. This is so good.
Too much recency bias for me to estimate where I’d rank this in their discography, but I can say with certainty that it’ll never best LLL. Haven’t listened to much else in the last 48 hours though, they made a pretty addictive record here. These hooks are relentless
LLL is their magnum opus in many people's opinion. Excellent transitions, songwriting, and they were just firing on all cylinders on that one. That record is what got me to listen to the band. I still only go back as far as American Candy for regular listening, but LLL is where this band became a standout. With that said, this has the potential to be my second favorite. Time will tell.
American Candy and LLL on vinyl would print money. BAND CALLED THE MAINE WHY DON'T YOU WANT MY MONEY MAKE IT GO BRRR
You ever see this one? I’m so curious how this came to be. The MAINE ONE ONE OF A KIND 12 INCH VINYL | eBay
Yeah, gotta be. But like, a 1 of 1? You’d think if you went to the effort and expense to make that, you’d either hang onto it forever or make more copies and sell them.
Obviously subject to change once it’s been more than a day, but right now it’s YAO > LLL > this > XOXO with pretty significant distance between each. Which isn’t a slight to this record at all
Hah, yeah this had me checking the values of my AC and LLL too. The red one you’ve got last sold about a month ago for $180 according to Discogs
nice. I should really go through my vinyl and sell a bunch off as I don't listen to them and I know I've got a few valuable ones
