Spiraling is a way better closer to me than funny how lol. Great song. I have no problem with the sequencing at all
The second verse about birthdays and worst days hit me like a ton of bricks - easily one of my fave parts of the entire LP
Yeah I would never switch it. I’m just saying that’s more in the vein of what I’d assume people were talking about. A ballad ender. it’s probably my least favorite song on the record.
I love a Tuesday release. I completely forgot about this, what a pleasant surprise to realize almost 24 hours after it’s come out. A few songs in and this sounds fantastic.
Funny how is great - not a bad song in the bunch. This record rules. I second the “add colby to the band” sentiments they don’t need em but I sure love em with him
Totally floored by how good this is. It's exactly what I wanted from this band and they're at the top of their game here. Some little opinions on details in the album, and I have no issue with the sequencing. This is gripping me and will be on repeat for quite a while. Glad we got a release before summer's over. Listened probably 6-7 times today during work and while doing some indoor cycling. Funny How will get skipped *only* during workouts haha.
this band just sounds their best with Colby. I truly do think he brings out the best in them collectively, plus I really enjoy his lil production quirks.
100%. Do you/anyone else know of anything fairly big colby has produced? I have listened to his own stuff, could’ve def missed other projects…
"Funny How" is good, but it feels like it's a little different from the rest of the record in subject/tone in a way that makes it stick out more than just the sonic side of things alone would.
It was funny looking at Colby's Wikipedia page after my partner misheard a lyric in "Flowers On The Grave" and asked if The Maine was a Christian band.
my gut tells me he has been more country/Americana/Christian vibes from his discography but I could be completely wrong Colby Wedgeworth - Capitol CMG Publishing Home - Capitol CMG Publishing
