The chorus is immaculate and that first prechorus is an early standout moment of the record for me, the way he sings “sorta” gets me in a fantastic way

Very solid album on first listen, not sure anything blows me away right off the bat but it’s just tight songwriting all around. I’ll say not having Cars and Spiraling switched is an absolutely confounding choice to me though

 

I've just been changing the song arrangement on spotify/itunes and it hits. For a band with such strong closers/intention around closers, it's such an odd decision...

I'm probably gonna regret this decision but I'm gonna pass. Comes to 40 bucks after shipping and tax for me. Seems a bit steep for a single LP

is an absolutely incredible sequence. just unreal.

 

Enjoyed this a lot on my first listen. "Spiraling" does seem horribly out of place, though. Lyrically, it just feels like a mid-album song. Also, I think it's probably the weakest on here by a considerable margin which makes it even more disappointing as a closer.

I also agree with the majority here that spiraling is out of place to close this record. Just doesn’t feel right to me at all. I also don’t really like the song at all either so that’s probably affecting it for me.

 

If you go from cars & caution signs and skip spiraling to flows very well back into the first track (dose no. 2)
