In both of these I'm hearing elements of everything they've been doing over the last 4 albums and have no complaints about them bringing that collection of sounds together in one cohesive album.
this is my favorite band in the world. but i will say these two tracks have been a bit underwhelming in comparison to the last album. i do get the feeling that this will be an album that you listen to as a whole though.
I think I fall somewhere in the middle here. I really love these two new songs but I can also understand the opinion that they're kind of flat. I'm willing to give it time obviously and see how it all fits within the scheme of the record as a whole. I did notice the other day that I hadn't returned to "Die To Fall" much, which is a rarity for me with their new material. For example, with their self titled the majority of songs that I truly fell in love with were not released as singles and the album as a cohesive piece flows way better than I imagined based on the singles that they chose. Almost all of their work is this way. So I will be patient and see if these songs grow on me further in the meantime.
I like Die to Fall a lot. I do somewhat agree that it's not quite as strong as some of their previous singles, but I've still listened to it a ton, and it's definitely grown on me. And now the new one feels even more special to me to me already, so I'm very confident I will love this album.
I'm holding out to hear the whole thing, but you couldn't get me to worry whether a new album from The Maine would be good in 2026.
These flow together really well and I am really digging this second single. Thinking I’m just gonna hold off and listen to the rest of this as a whole
It didn’t click with me at first, but now I’m obsessed with Quiet Part Loud. Did anyone share the video yet?
Die to Fall goes off live. They've played it both sets so far on the Holiday from Real cruise. Closed with it tonight and it was fantastic. They haven't played Quiet Part Loud yet. On a related note, they've been a highlight of the cruise and their set tonight was electric. They were in a seated theater and the place was packed. And no one was sitting haha. Also appreciate that the two sets they've played so far were substantially different. Some of the other bands are just playing the exact same set every time.
Great to hear. The two new songs are awesome. Die To Fall hits me like LLL and Quiet Part Loud is a song I didn’t know I needed.
Got tickets for London! I'm done waiting for them to come to Sweden so it's time to travel to see them again. It's been thirteen years! Btw, when do you usually get your tickets delivered in the UK? I'm used to getting them to my e-mail immediately but nothing yet. I ordered through Roundhouse's own website if that matters. Edit: Never mind! Found them on my account page on their website, lol
I think it's: Don't think (say?) it all happens for a reason No, fuck that, every night is unknown (Yeah yeah yeah) Don't sink, let it happen

Nothing on this album has quite gripped me the way their previous releases have. Still excited to give it a listen as a whole.
