Amazing song, but I was tricked by Blame and How to Exit a Room, so hopefully I like this album as a whole more.
"the new LP was written and recorded in sequential order to emphasize the storytelling approach to the LP." Dope
Looks like Sean Silverman (Beach Weather) is credited as a producer on this. Don’t see any other names they’ve worked with before (most notably Colby Wedgeworth)
I have loved everything they’ve ever produced with Colby so that’s a bummer, but i’m excited to see what they do with this record with some new minds involved
Love the song. Love this band. Excited for the album, even more so after reading the one-track-at-a-time approach they took. Great album cover too.
Liked it a lot and sure it’ll only grow on me. Contextualizes Touch a bit - seems like that was a song they wrote to kind of practice something they were hoping to incorporate into their more classic sound. (Assuming this single is at least somewhat indicative of the album)
Those little vocalizations in the background of the verses sound identical to the ones heard leading into the second verse of Black Butterflies. Fun throwback there
