The Maine is my favourite band and I love them but I sure do miss them making bangers. It’s not like a bad album at all but I found it super slow and boring, except for Half A Spark. I think there’s prominent acoustic on every single song. It’s like a 6.5/10 for me, sorry TM :(

With a ton of all-time bangers in the catalog, I am happy to get a new spin on the sound – knowing they'll dip back into the banger well in the future. Lots of ass-shakers on this one.

  9. going to need a translation layer for where ass shakers become bangers or begin to slap, unsure on the metrics here

Banger is an up and down vibe, ass-shaker side to side. I don't do slappers.

  17. unsure of bopptitude scale and how it compares with ass shaking, need a third party ruling.

Album's good. Not an immediate "I'm going to play this a million times" album for me like XOXO was, but I think it's a little more my vibe than self-titled.

Going through the discography in preperation for tomorrow. I was reminded that when LLL released I was convinced that Do You Remember? and The Sound of Reverie would become fan favourites. Seeing how relatively few times they've been played live - was I wrong?

Would love to hear them live this fall as I haven't seen The Maine since 2013 :concerned:

It's good. I think I need to listen to it with more intent. I think I just have extremely high expectations for them.

Still one of my favourite albums of all time and completely agree that it is so wild how The Sound of Reverie didn’t become a staple.

I think Sound Of Rev is a fan favourite, it gets praised A LOT from fans and gets requested a bunch of times every tour, and it’s in my personal top 3 of LLL. Do You Remember is definitely slept on though.
