Holy shit...what a track. I was not ready for that. Saw Charlotte Sands at Unsilent Night in Dallas, and she was fantastic.

You owe me a Sausage McMuffin

Song rips, but the effects on Adam's voice are distracting and terrible as hell.

Came here to say just this. Feels like a lot of compression and pitch correction and it just feels off. Charlotte's vocals have a similar feel, but isn't as distracting.

All in all a cool song, though!

I really dig it, but also agree the pitch correction or w/e on adam's voice is a bit too strong/obvious.

I'm the first person to have an unfavorable opinion, awesome haha. It wasn't bad, just didn't do anything for me. I just got back from 8123 Fest, maybe I'm a bit The Maine'd out. I'll listen over the weekend when I'm in a better mood & hopefully my opinion will change!

Feels like a throwback TBS track. I dig.

I felt like the vocals were all over the place. It was distracting me completely from the hook of the song. Also, biggest The Maine fan here.

Update: after spinning the track (not during work), I now love it. this is so damn good, and it also really makes me miss the old way Adam used to sing. And the bridge is classic Maine. Gosh I love this band.

Right?! The vocals remind me of early Taking Back Sunday, almost sounds like it could have been a poppier b-side around tell all your friends

Came here to say just this. It felt like such a classic Adam/TBS vocal delivery.

I also was very impressed how they split up the vocal takes. It could have gone very formulaic with each person taking one specific part of the song, but I loved how chaotic it was with different people coming in over each other.

    Love this so much.

Glad you came around! I was going to listen to this on speakers at first, and like 5 seconds in, I decided to grab decent headphones. So I think that's why I immediately fell in love with it.

Better than I had expected before I put it on, really liked all the vocals and that chaotic approach seems just fine!

Having listened to it multiple times again I've decided to elevate this to love status. It's really great. The Maine have been so consistently good the past 4 album cycles that they've become one of my favorite bands.

I agree that Adam sounds just like the tell all your friends era and the back and forth between him, John, and Charlotte was *chefs kiss.* I haven't been able to get into TBS in quite some time due to the vocal production/sounds among other things...

Totally agree, I was obsessed with them for the early EPs and Can't Stop Won't Stop then fell off a bit, but American Candy & every album since have been incredible

The Maine is having one of the best discography runs in the game. This song clearly shows they have plenty more left in the tank

This track is ridiculously good. This is definitely one of my favorite collaborations I've heard in a long time, and perhaps one of my favorite collaboration tracks ever. I'd love to see The Maine, Taking Back Sunday, and Charlotte Sands quit everything that they planned on doing the rest of the year and just write a whole album together.

Love the song too but it’s really The Maine song they got the others on haha

but they way the three vocalists all interplay and do legitimate dueling vocals is something that has been sorely missing to my ears for a while

Oh I know it's mainly a Maine song (pun intended? lol); I was just merely saying I'd love to see them all collaborate on an entire album together haha.

And I couldn't agree with you more, those dueling vocals were music to my ears as well. It has such a great old school feel to it. It's been on repeat all day for me haha.

I had this exact same thought lol. I've listened to this track I don't even know how many times on loop the past two days. It's just so damned good.

I felt the same way at first cause i listened over laptop speakers :eyeroll:
I should know better. Sounded great on headphones and multiple vocals weren't nearly as distracting :crylaugh:
