Okay, so I watched an episode of this when it premiered and didn't like it. I decided to give it another shot because this should be right up my alley, and I had never watched the pilot before! That ending was crazy, I loved it and I'm so intrigued by everything that was set up. I'm also so confused by what I watched in 2016, maybe it was the third episode and I started it thinking it was the first. I just know I had not seen this pilot and if I had, I would've finished the season. So excited to get into this now and have a new fantasy show to watch.
Love how they did the scenes of Quentin and Eliot at the mosaic. And I’ll always be amazed how stuff like that can be in the same episode as the tonally opposite scene of Margot’s wedding.
Sorry, I was really enjoying it. I left off at the start of season 2 when they finally kill the beast. Haven't watched in a couple of months, but I plan to finish catching up.
I'm waiting for season 3 to hit Netflix. I wish I could be caught up with everyone. Hmm. Maybe I should check if it gets marathoned on SyFy before then.
So, I came back around to giving this a watch. I thoroughly enjoyed the books. I watched the pilot when it aired and really wasn’t sold on it. I’ve made a couple attempts since then but always left with the same feeling of meh. Finally made it through the first few episodes. Not sure I like it. But at least I’ve gotten farther along than I ever have. Hope it gets better.
Need to watch this past the first season still. I liked what I saw, but yeah it’s not the books. Making Fogg badass and replacing Janet with Margot, making Ember and Umber humanoid, these were all relatively minor but still kind of weird to me. And the absolute gut-wrenching devastation of the Reynard the Fox scene didn’t really translate to the screen for me.
Watching the season 1 finale. The show is pretty maddening. But there is just enough of the books amazingness that I continue.
Wow, stellar season. That was the fastest I binge watched any season of this show. So excited to watch now in real time.
