meteor man has to be Bombadil if he’s a character we know, right?

 

I thought this at first, but then he stood up and he's super tall, and I thought Bombadil woulda been roughly the same height as, or only a little bit taller than, a Harfoot. They call The Stranger a giant a bunch of times. I think it's Olórin / Gandalf.

 

Probably gonna wait to watch this until hot d is over.

i half-remember there being a theory out there that Bombadil is actually a fallen star, but i can’t find anything online.

Hasn't Tom Bombadil existed on middle earth since the beginning of time though?

 

I thought Tom Bombadil was only a little taller than the hobbits and shorter than a man, but honestly I'm terrible at remembering these types of details and don't have my books handy.

I wish they could have gotten the rights to it. Using it sparingly in certain spots would do so much for a lot of scenes I imagine

 

It being Tom bombadil would be kind of weird, he’s basically an almost all powerful god from what I understand and wouldnt interfere with the events of middle earth (for the most part). Gandalf was a young man when he first wondered middle earth I thought but not sure on that. Thinking it’s one of the other wizards

mystery man is Beorn no further questions no it’s gotta be one of the Maiar or Istari. I think Saruman or Sauron is most likely if it’s a character we know but think more likely it’s an Istari like character they invented
