I feel old at just 27. Was asked today by the 23 year old girl I work with in my Marketing department what my band sounds like, because she overheard me talking to some other colleagues about our plans to record our debut non-demo EP next month. Now I'm not an idiot, I knew if I said "We sound like Joyce Manor meets Modern Baseball" she would have no idea what I meant, so I reached and said "I guess we kind of sound like a faster more interesting Blink-182?" and she just said "Who is that? Never heard of them... Is it kind of like Busted?" God I am old.
Honestly I have no idea. It's not like Blink are a totally unknown band. I guess maybe because Busted were literally unavoidable in the UK at that time and maybe by then Blink were on hiatus and now she's not exactly into guitar music. I can see how it happens even if it seems mad to me.
Everyone I know has heard of blink, including people younger than me but I live in San Diego and he lives in the UK so that might explain it
didn't mark do something with busted like around when neighborhoods came out or was that another uk band?
sadly I didn’t skip it, I just stopped posting here for a while. spent most of the year recovering from tearing my ACL in June.
