yup, it could be my AOTY as well.. maybe blushing, i just dont find myself returning to that much at all haha.
The Copeland album isn't a "I feel like listening to some music while I clean" kind of album. It's a "sit alone in the dark and go on a journey" kind of album. I've listened to the Copeland one twice, and while I loved it, it's not one I can just go back to whenever I'm feeling like listening to something. There's a specific time and place I need to be for that kind of thing, haha, if that makes sense. But because of that, it's in my top 10 of 2019, for sure.
I agree blushing is a mood record but I fall asleep to Pope and On Your Worst Day every night soooo it’s still no. 1 for me.
Yeah that album makes me sleep too Kidding. It’s good. I just never really am in the mood to listen to it
I mean, dusting your shelves and listening to blushing would definitely enhance the cleaning experience. I understand what you're saying though.
My favourite three albums of the first half of this year are Copeland, As Cities Burn and Sigrid. In no particular order at this point.
Sharon Van Etten, Julia Jacklin and Charly Bliss for me. There’s been such a breadth of talent, as well as interesting records I keep coming back to
Thanks for taking your time to share these. Had a quick listen. The first two had similar vibes and I feel like I need to pay attention (currently at work). Charly Bliss sounded great - will have to check out that album.
My favorites so far this year are Periphery, Baroness, and Defeater. Still to come though: He Is Legend, Russian Circles, Jimmy Eat World, Norma Jean, and The Early November This will be a great year.
I hope that the old usuals of this thread that I don’t get to talk to anymore are doing OK these days. @Dog with a Blog @iCarly Rae Jepsen @oncenowagain @Mr. Serotonin @SlappinCups @Kingjohn_654 @littlejohn @awwgereee
