I went to college straight out of high school and I didn’t care at all and just put no effort in so eventually I dropped out. I got a shitty job and decided to go back to school. I’m now realizing how important school is and I look at all these fresh out of high school kids not care and I’m just like NOOOOO.
I went to school right away out of high school and slacked off for a couple years but eventually got my shit together. Wanted to change my major from electrical engineering to comp sci when I had like a year left but it would have added about another year and said fuck that. I fucking hate school so I hope I never go back.
I'm 29 and just now finishing community college. It was a struggle for me because I have always been a bad student.
Having said that I wish that I could have gone back and redone it right as fast as possible to make more money when I was younger instead of waiting until I was 27 to start my career.
I was really good at school but really bad at knowing how to apply that to the real world and careers and I still don't know
On paper, I should be a very capable, well-rounded teacher, having had a 4.0 in my program when I graduated. But dammit if I don’t feel like I’m just barely keeping my head above water day after day.
I went to university as soon as I finished high school, couldn’t cope with the pressure and was studying something I didn’t enjoy for years. Five years later and I’m finally doing what I want. I should’ve just gotten a boring job and worked on myself but ohhhh well
These guys have done a lot of charity work for suicide prevention among gay teens in my state, which makes them okay in my book.
