I discovered this band through he podcast I always post about.

They have an album from 2017 I haven't listened too yet, but I will.

This is from last year and its a wicked fun song!

I think @KidLightning would like this band

 

Every single song Weezer covers on this album brings me back to being a kid, watching MTV and just being so in love with music.

 

oh my god this guy on my team at work is complaining about the gillette commercial.

 

he's only been on the team for a few months and I already had formed an opinion of him based on other stuff he's said. like about half of our team is vegetarian and he just keeps trying to talk about meat with them and it's annoying. then he talks about religion way too much for a work setting, but now he's talking about how the gillette commercial was made my feminists that only make stuff that are anti-men.

 

No Scrubs sung by River Cuomo is something I thought I'd never hear.

I think I'll just talk to the other guy who he's talking to later. this guy's a lost cause, gets his "news" from fox.
the other guy seems more reasonable.

Once again, I realized that music was not even a priority for me in 2017, and I missed Pacific Daydream by Weezer.

*adds it to the list in frustration*

how do you all keep track of what bands are playing shows near you?

I'm trying to use bandsintown but looking through austins 400 shows per night is making it difficult.

 

Honestly, I haven't bothered for a good 5 years (says the girl who has only been to 6 shows in the last 6 years).

 

Having most of them on social media

I don’t see everyone I like live, though

 

I've only been to a handful of shows in the past few years too, but would like to go to more.

not sure if we'll be in austin for that much longer so need to take advantage of having a big live music scene here in case we end up moving back to el paso in a year or 2.

 

I avoid going to shows.

 

For me it’s about 20-25 shows a year with typically 2 festivals or so sprinkled in

 

1 festival

1-3 shows
