Beyoncé should be there too then since she’s voicing Nala

lol At the end of the song yes. Im going to guess they are jsut recording a scene. Its going to be weird hearing Rogan and Eichner sing though. Like Lane had a great voice, but Eichners is kind of abrasive. Rogans singing voice I feel would be a disaster lol have they ever sang in anything?

Eichner sings in the P&R episode from season 7 finale when they show his future.

He wrenches on it. He thinks it's his.

Billy and Seth are such perfect casting choices. I can't even handle it.

I obviously understand why they're doing this (it's going to make a fucking incomprehensible amount of money), and the CG is extremely well done, but the original is still visually more impressive to me.

Artistically, there's no reason to remake it. The animation is still a masterpiece. Just bummed that "classic" animation doesn't really exist in movie theaters anymore.

Also a genuine question, why is this considered a "live action" lion king despite it being entirely CG. Just because it's motion capture?

I don’t care that they’re remaking it. I do think it’s odd it’s being labeled live action but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I guess

Calling it "live action" is an easier sell that way I guess

In regards to the "live-action" on the wiki:

    Development
Disney also did not describe it as live-action, only stating it would follow the "technologically groundbreaking" approach of The Jungle Book.

Havent read any statements or anything so not sure how accurate this is.

I'm cautiously looking forward to the movie, in spite of Beauty & the Beast being lame, 'cause the cast is good, the director is a great fit, & the film it's remaking is wonderful. It could be a delightful film experience.

But, like, we can all accept that it's kind of a funny film to get this remake treatment, right? lol. Regardless of how good the final film could end up being.

I’m just curious what story beats they will change, if any. With the other remakes, were the story the exact same, there is an added benefit of seeing real actors on location, something the original cartoons didn’t have. With this, because it is still technically just animation, it makes me wonder if they are gonna change up the story a bit to keep it fresh, ya know?
