Graphically, that's so fucking impressive. But it's also pretty boring. Obviously they aren't going to do all the stuff from the original, but just watching them running and singing is aesthetically pretty bland.
whereas the Oscar-winning “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” now unfolds during the day, for some reason. Lmfao what.
This is what I feared. The Lion King doesn’t really try anything new other than visuals. It’s just a live version of the animated film. And this why I’m actually excited for Mulan which I’m sure critics will say departs itself too far from the animated film.
I feel like Seth Rogen and Billy Eichner will be the best part of the movie haha Also, it's a Disney movie based on a cartoon. They aren't notorious for every character sounding like an Opera singer
Rogen and Eichner are definitely the better part of the movie (though they can't sing like Lane and Ernie Sabella). The hyenas on the other hand are totally forgettable. Eric Andre and Key's voices are way too similar and the running joke they have falls flat.
Yeah when my gf mentioned that to me I lost quite a bit of intrigue. The emotion of The original is a huge component of its greatness.
Is this movie an example of “your VFX crew were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn’t stop to think if they should”
Absolutely false. Jeremy Irons Scar >>>> It’s going to be hard for me to not imagine Brodrick’s voice being Simba. Or JTD not being young simba.
Well this is a take https://www.washingtonpost.com/outl...emake-can-change-that/?utm_term=.a7eb649a9b22
how is it not about how I Just Can't Wait To Be King is about a child thinking he deserves total unchecked power over a society
