the qna i went to the directors said they had a bunch of ideas kicking around for a while and after the witch got bought, this was the only one that anyone wanted to buy after it; the story of a lighthouse ghost.

 

yeah, he was initially planning to do Nosferatu but this was what they bought

 

His Nosferatu will be fucking terrifying.

I’m excited for his Rasputin miniseries. Really hope that he’ll come back to Nosferatu but it’s not lookin like it

 

He said he’s still hopeful because he’s put years of work into it. I really hope he gets to, but I wouldn’t expect anytime soon.

 

The dialogue in this movie blows my mind. I can’t imagine being able to write Dafoe’s monologues, as a 21st century man. It’s just so god damn good haha. Felt the same way about The Witch too.

I don't really give a fuck about the Oscars but if this doesn't win something (major) I will be pissed

Dafoe, deserves an Oscar for it, but if he doesn’t get the nom, then I’ll settle for every single person telling him he makes a mean lobster whenever they see him.

 

so now that the Lighthouse and Parasite are out, are there any movies worth looking forward to?
