In case anyone's not cool enough to know, he played Harvey Dent in the '89 Batman film but was overlooked for Batman Forever when Joel Schumacher took over. Thus, this is awesome.
As odd as it may sound to say this about a LEGO, I really like the Harley Quinn design. I think it's a good mix of her classic costume and the modern comics/Suicide Squad costumes.
I literally never in my life would've thought that I'd be this excited for a spin-off film of any kind. Whoever at WB greenlit this deserves a medal.
I'm probably the one person who wants to see this because they loved the Lego Movie but don't give a shit about Batman at all.
You may be right, but let me tell you as someone who loves both this is like a perfect confluence of two awesome things going incredibly well together. The hype is unreal.
I'm glad that people who are fans of both are happy about the combination. I loved Arnett's character in the first Lego Movie, and with Zack, Jenny Slate and Michael Cera on board, I'm sure I'll love this too even though I'm not into Batman.
Yeah Arnett was literally my (and I'm sure many, many others') favorite part of the first one so the announcement of this was just so unexpected but also so welcome.
I love that the Lego Movie was the best cinematic deconstruction of Batman we've ever seen and hope that continues into this.
Anyone else playing the Bat Climb game on Facebook messenger? It's a cool tie-in to this movie and you can play as Batgirl!
I've never played a Facebook messenger game, but any post that has the word "Batgirl" followed by an exclamation point is a good one.
After a few tries, I seem to be in first place between us. Now to retire while at the top of the game.
Also, kinda related, but Rob Schrab is no longer directing the Lego Movie Sequel and is being replaced by the guy who directed the Trolls movie
