How did you find out? Did you call around and ask or was it advertised? I've been thinking about playing at midnight but I also want a physical copy of the game.
Called the store I thought was most likely to have one and they said they were doing it. Not the closest location to me, but it’s in a strip mall instead of a real mall so I figured they were more likely to do it, and they’ve done them for big releases before, although this would be the first I’ve attended. I’d say call around if you wanna find one. (Funny enough this is also where I got my OG Switch in late March 2017 for BOTW, by showing up at 6am the day I heard they’d be getting a shipment)
This is a really cool interactive article, hopefully it isn't paywalled for everyone Tears of the Kingdom Hopes to Expand the Legacy of Zelda - The New York Times (nytimes.com)
See if this works, says I can gift articles idk: How The Legend of Zelda Changed the Game It's just cool it's interactive with video embeds and gives a whole history of the franchise.
Also, I didn't know anything about this There's also a short clip in there that shows how the city of Kyoto was an influence on the design of Hyrule in Botw
Ok I think I'm gonna preorder this on Amazon, I'm gonna be really sad if the delivery gets delayed lol but it does say May 12 for estimated delivery date and I have Prime
MM is a great game but, honestly the time aspect always draws me away from committing to another play through.
never said it was better than OoT or any other zelda game. just my personal fav (keyword personal), from the tone, to the music, to its strong literary bend (with all the different subplots)... we don't need to make it a debate when I'm just stating my appreciation.
I honestly never finished OoT (I think I got to the well dungeon) and never even got more than a few hours into MM, def a fake gamer/Zelda fan here. That said, I am going to suck at this game and play it so wrong
