Finished the main storyline. Honestly relieved that now I can do things at my own pace without worrying about seeing spoilers online.

On a totally unrelated note, I discovered another parallel between the overworld and Depths that I haven’t seen discussed anywhere online. I knew that the depths are topographically the opposite of the overworld but I noticed that more specifically every overworld mountain has a canyon mine with the same name underneath. Anything with Mount in the name has one. Just got 12 battery upgrades in an hour by just going under mountains.

 

yeah the higher the elevatikn above-ground, the lower into the depths the corresponding space will be. Mountains are super deep, and Tanagar Canyon is super high up

Also there’s an abandoned mine — the main ones where you fight Kohga/Yiga and can trade zoanite for crystals — where every town is.

Finished all the tears and two of the main bosses. Kinda just messing around hunting for shrines for a while. I still have a ton of the depths to explore, but I really don't like being down there.

also unlocking the Hero's Path on the Purah Pad helps a lot with exploration because it shows you everywhere you've been. I had a lot of uncharted areas and just went to one of them and found like 3 shrines

 

how much of the depths do you need to explore for josha to get Robbie to fuck off back to his hateno lab so i can get the pad upgrade

 

Like 10 minutes

 

Not much at all. But you also need to beat a temple, get autobuild, and rebuild Robbie's balloon

 

Just started the depths and spent like 3 hours in there. Got the pad and build upgrade, and 5 lightroots.

Are there any upgrades in here weapon/clothing wise? That I can find by just exploring?

 

That sounds like a lot to do when I’m already preoccupied doing a bunch of things that aren’t that

 

Yeah, collect poes and trade them in at the stone statue next to Robbie in the Landing base

 

So when you're literally entering the Eldin Region, the stable that's by the Great Fairy there, there's also a path down to the beach with a balloon and a cave. The bozos are outside that cave.

 

OH so that's what collecting Poes is for!?

 

Only one region on my map left and then I'll have 3 travel pads, woot

 

I want to upgrade some of my armor (Sheikah set especially) but it gets pretty expensive after the second tier. I can't decide if I like the pay-rupees-per-item-upgrade approach or the pay rupees upfront (11,600) to open the fairy fountains approach in Botw better

 

Hell yeah my boss let me sign off early for the holiday. Gonna be a day of playing Zelda for me.

 

aren't the Poe rewards kinda blah? it's just some materials and then a tunic that gives you no bonuses whatsoever
